Catholic Campaign for Human Development Funding
for Local Needs

For more than thirty years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has worked to help people break the cycle of poverty, not just for a day, but for a lifetime, by addressing its root causes. Through the generosity of area parishioners, CCHD is able to help fund projects within the Diocese of Beaumont and throughout the United States, without regard to religious affiliation, which encourage self-sufficiency, education and training. Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations working to address social issues in the community are welcome to apply for these CCHD grants. Viewing the parish community as inclusive of its entire geographical area, Catholic Charities, through the Parish Social Ministry office, administers the local grant funding process made available through these CCHD monies. For additional information, please click on the document below:

The deadline for applying for CCHD funding in 2013 is Friday, May 24, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

Religious Liberty & Service to All

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is pleased to reflect the moral values of the Catholic Church in its services. Yet, in keeping with Catholic social principles, Catholic Charities shows no preference for any particular religion when serving those in need.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has expressed grave reservations about threats to religious liberty emerging in America that could compromise the value-based services of institutions like Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas.

We invite you to take a few minutes to review the bishops' concerns regarding religious freedom and lend your voice of support and your prayers to the chorus of those asking God and national leaders to help our nation remain faithful to its heritage. Thank you!
