OVERVIEW OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES

Catholic Charities is charged by the Diocese of Beaumont to defend and insure the preservation of human dignity. Inspired by the social teachings of the Church, we strive to improve the lives of those individuals and families who utilize our services, by recognizing and addressing the evolving needs of our society. It is our vision to achieve a universal community that is stronger physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, willing and empowered to care for the needs of all its members.

Services of Catholic Charities are available in most counties comprising the territory of the Diocese of Beaumont: Jefferson, Orange, Hardin, Chambers, Jasper, Liberty, Newton, Polk, and Tyler.  Catholic Charities provides services to individuals and families regardless of their religious beliefs.

Catholic Charities currently operates 8 programs:

• Asset Building Case Management (ABC)
• Child Care Contractor Services (CCCS)
• Counseling Services
• Disaster Trauma and Loss Unit, including:  Elijah’s Place - Grief Support Services and Disaster Response
• Hospitality Center (Soup Kitchen)
• Immigration Services
• Parish Social Ministry
